LOW MOOR — Due to a plumbing issue, Alleghany High School, Covington Middle School, Jackson River Technical Center and Clifton Academy will be closed on Thursday March 14.
The plumbing issue unexpectedly occurred at Alleghany High School on Tuesday afternoon. AHPS maintenance workers promptly began working to address the issue and the maintenance crew continues to address the sewage issue today. We appreciate your patience and support as maintenance finishes all repairs.
Covington Middle School, Jackson River Technical Center and Clifton Academy will also be closed Thursday to avoid confusion over an overlap of students and transportation. All elementary schools will be open.
